Damage to a car in for maintenance. Are you insured for that?

It's probably a familiar situation: one of the mechanics is having an off day, isn't paying close attention during a repair. And sure enough, damage to the customer's car. Oh dear... and now what? The customer doesn't want to burden you with it, but you don't want to burden yourself either. A good time to look into whether or not you are insured if something goes wrong during a workshop repair.

Taking out garage insurance is necessary. But afterwards, we don't actually check the insurance. Time to do this after all. Because for which risks are you actually insured?

Do you know if you are insured against damages, such as:

  • Collision damage for replacement vehicles – customers driving temporary cars handle them differently
  • Processing risks – when something goes wrong in the workshop during a repair
  • Partial theft – car parts stolen.
