It is mandatory to record mileages when:
• During an APK inspection
• When included in the company stock (ORB)
• Upon registration with sale (TV)
• When registering for export
• During dismantling/demolition
• When installing LPG systems, tachographs, alcohol interlocks, and taxi on-board computers
• For workshop visits with an invoice amount of €150 (including VAT) and above, including repairs, maintenance, tyre changes, recall and warranty work

The Online Kilometre Registration (OKR) not only creates additional obligations but, above all, offers many possibilities. For example, it makes it very easy to check mileages and retrieve the kilometre history. VWE offers various services for this.
Check mileage
To check the reliability of an odometer reading, VWE offers a new web service: ‘Check Kilometerstand’. Based on the vehicle registration number and the current odometer reading, it indicates whether the odometer reading is logical.
The check can provide the following results:
• Logically, when the sequence of mileages is increasing and has a logical progression
Illogical, when the mileage readings show a break in trend: a reading on the odometer is lower than at an earlier time or has an illogical history
• No judgment, which can indicate the following situations:
– The vehicle has a 5-digit odometer
– The meter has been replaced
Import
– There are too few known positions
– There was already an illogical mileage record according to NAP
It is important to note that the user will only receive an assessment once at least one meter reading has been submitted.
The ‘Check Mileage’ web service is now available via the standard Interdata platform and can be easily integrated into your own system, website, or mobile service.

Hoe kan a car dealership register mileages?
A car company can record mileage via a provider (such as VWE), via the DMS package, or via the RDW's business portal.
Record mileage
In addition to the RDW services transactions (EDD, export, dismantling, ORB, APK, TA, LPG and SB), VWE has created a separate free service called ‘Register Mileage’ so that you can register the mileage for repairs and damage repair with an invoice amount of €150 (including VAT). The mileages entered within the RDW services transactions are automatically registered with the RDW.
