VWE and DAT Netherlands launch weDAT®, a platform for damage calculation
VWE and DAT Netherlands introduce weDAT®The successor to SilverDAT Calculate. The new damage calculation platform automatically recognizes damage with AI on photos and then generates a calculation proposal based on that. weDAT® is immediately available to repairers, dealers, expertise agencies, fleet managers, leasing companies, rental companies, logistics companies and insurers.
What makes DAT® different
weDAT® consists of three parts:
- Vehicle identification via VIN or license plate number, with accompanied image capture that uses augmented reality to help create the correct photos.
- Automatic damage detection with FastTrackAI® technology, based on OEM data, including a description of the damage and the corresponding repair methods.
- Damage calculation for parts, labor, and spray work, based on the proven SilverDAT calculation model and current vehicle data, for an accurate and well-founded calculation.
Self-driving, up to 60% faster
The platform is modular and configurable. A car company compiles its own process flow and, if desired, adjusts calculations manually via a graphical selection of parts. Moreover, a deep link function makes it possible to perform a calculation remotely, without the vehicle being physically present. This makes damage calculations up to 60% faster than with regular calculation software.
Developed with DAT Group, built for the practice
weDAT® was developed in collaboration with DAT Group, which has been active in the automotive industry since 1931, with its headquarters in Ostfildern (Germany) and more than 550 employees in 22 countries. DAT Netherlands, part of VWE, is the Dutch representative of DAT Group.
The development process was closely listened to by the experience of repairers, dealers, expertise agencies, fleet managers, leasing companies, rental companies, logistics companies and insurers with damage calculation in daily practice.
