Why a Declaration of Type Approval Data?

If you export a passenger car abroad and apply for a registration number there, you will often be asked for a Declaration of Type Approval Data. The information on the Declaration of type approval data can be compared with that of a CVO (Certificate Of Conformity) of COC (Certificate Of Conformity) statement. This statement contains the technical information required to register the car.
